The orb clock designed by Sejoon Kim is a table clock which is embodied astronomical objects in the passage of time. The orb clock has the look of the clock body that is in the air and makes an impression of mystic as if it is in the universe. Two small spheres that revolve around the clock body indicate an hour hand and a minute hand.
On the back of the orb clock, there is a fastening device between the clock body and transparent shade. A center shaft of clock movement meets with the transparent shade and is fixed by threaded fastener so that gives a feeling like it floats in the air when it is shown from the front. This clock movement is also fixed inside the body. The movement uses a reversed clock mechanism. [via]
