The Light Catcher: The Real Solar Power Battery


Yung-Hsaing Chang, Ming-Shien Lin and Chang-Ting Lu submit the Light Catcher, a ‘light batteries’ concept, to the 2011 IF Design Award. The design is taking a simple photoelectric battery with transparent body coated with an antireflective layer houses solar cells. The Light Catcher come in two battery sizes of AA and AAA, and it is suggested for powering up an adjacent small device by just using a 3.5mm jack. Whenever the battery running up of juice, you could always re-power or recharge is up using the abundance sunlight and after a period of time, it will be able to run as if it is new again.
