A More Mobile Way of Cleaning the Teeth

3Deeth is a compact portable toothbrush designed by Zeki Özek for more mobile way of cleaning the teeth. It will keep your mouth fresh no matter where you are. Disposable and non-disposable versions of 3Deeth have been designed. Toothpaste is stored inside the rubber/plastic shell of the disposable version, and squeezing the shell pushes it out onto the bristles. (The non-disposable version does not contain toothpaste.) The user places 3Deeth over their teeth, as if they were biting it, and brushes by holding the central grip and moving it left to right. It allows the front and back of the teeth on both the upper and lower jaws to be cleaned at the same time.

The brushes are 5-8 millimetres in length, and are clustered into 1,000 brush groups. 3Deeth measures just 15 x 32 x 17 millimetres and fits snugly in a protective capsule. The modern, pop-influenced design is produced in solid and transparent materials in a variety of colours. There are wide possibilities for the colour and packaging design. 3Deeth is cheap to produce, easy to clean, and convenient to carry in your pocket or bag. It could be sold through vending machines, and restaurants and hotels could offer 3Deeth freely in their washrooms. [via]

Band-Aid Printer Concept

Our body vary significantly in shape. However, we often try to make a single plaster shape fit comfortably over wounds on any part of the body. If the shape of the plaster is not appropriate, the wearer will feel uncomfortable. Band-Aid Printer by EVENdesign solves this problem. It can print different plaster shapes to suit the differently shaped body parts, so that one’s plaster will always fit one’s wound tightly. Band-Aid Printer is a quasi-3D printer, which can print the plaster directly. The user can alter the pigment setting. [via]

Dr. Pen: Small and Smart First-Aid Wand

Dr. Pen is a small first-aid wand (or pen) that contains basic equipment for treating a wound, as well as LED and GPS components. Dr. Pen is small and lightweight, and easily carried in one’s bag. It contains the LED and GPS system, saline solution, iodine, ointment, tape, and cotton swabs. It stores only small quantities of the consumables to ensure that they are regularly replenished and always fresh. The LED will be useful if a wound is sustained at night time, and the GPS component will help you be found if you’re lost. Dr. Pen transforms the traditional bulky first-aid kit into a highly portable first-aid ‘pen’. [via]
